im pretty sure ivy was an accountant on her previous life lol
Nah, Field Mice best unit for mathing lol
And thus the isekai imperial measurement system was born
The fact that it's gotten her this far, is truly something lol
With the so called um, ah.. oh. puzzle maths!?! lol.
Its called mice-mathics
Ivy needs to develop new mice-mathics numbers to indicate X number of mice. Like every 1,000 mice have to be a kilomice or something.
EDIT - That makes the 155,000 into 155 kilomice.
A "swarm" is 784 mice. An "infestation" is 346 swarms. A "plague" is 500 infestations.
I'm all for metric, but why limit yourself when you're converting things to mice units anyways?
Interesting. Although I have enough trouble doing multiples of ten. Doing multiples of 784 and 346 would break my fragile little brain. Maybe Ivy can do it though.
because metric is faster for conversion purposes... you COULD use all the same number, but shouldn't go beyond 20 digits... some early variations of metric used 5's I II II III IIII and IIII with a 5th as a slash through the other 5... then 5 5's was a V and then 5 Vs was an X, then if a number came before a V or X it denoted a number of them...
this greek system was the precursor to the very similar roman numerals which instead.used multiples of 10's instead of 5s.
we saw a 7 and 8 digit numerical system used in european history as well as 12s
"Dozen"s are based off the Germanic/Celtic use of 12s
and while 144 seems weird to us, in their numerals, 10 11 and 12 were single digit numbers
they also had the 12 sided dice, made of 12 pentagonal sides.
6's 8s and 12s actually makes MORE sense than 10's geometrically... just look at 8 and 12 sided dice compared to a 10 sided dice. there's far more uniformed symmetry in the shapes.... the 20 is also much more symmetrical.
True, but none of those involve field mice.
Definitely a viable currency, Ivy be like : Im worth 155 kilomice
She definitely Killed-a-mice ...
wait till inflation kicks in.
She have to take some break, lol
fr XD
Rutabagas are another good alternative lol
How much is one rutabaga worth? 🤔
About 420 field mice lol
why are you thinking of taming one
I tamed a rutabaga with my 8 star taming skill
so are u thinking of taking tht kids beast
Of course!
As soon as she got the gold all us knew she was going to do the math! It has been an hilarious opening!
It was only done once or twice early on in the books, not an ongoing thing. Not sure why they kept the gag going in the anime.
I don't know, I think it's a funny gag. Plus, it's not often that you get to see money visualized like that. It puts it into proper perspective just how much a person is making, and what that is in relation to the world around them. It's not much, but it's actually pretty good world building.
She did! 'years of eating field mice' is a good unit.
Then again, maybe better change it to 'years of eating field mice and feeding Sora blue potions'
imagine being american
I don't mind if it's a real one, but, a brain-washed one though...
Not sure what you use as the rule by which you determine what a "real" and "brain washed" one is, but I get the feeling both would think they are real and the other brain washed...
only they wouldn't. that would be TWO brain washed idiots.
the way you tell the difference is one of them will be more receptive to discussion or debate. they will be more willing to admit fault and adjust their perspective moving forwards.
it doesn't really matter what their morality or beliefs are because at the end of the day they spend far more time refining those things and trying to obtain the information required to form a valid opinion. rather than searching for the information required to validate the opinion they've already formed based on their personal perspectives, ideologies or sentiments.
but lets be honest... for the majority of people online, few things are as important as proving people like that don't actually exist. a fact which helps ensure that they will never become one of those people themselves.
It's how kids count, I think the way she remember her past life it comes and goes not 100% remember the past life.
When she creates her own country the currency will be based on field mice lol
Ivy really thinks about eating dried meat of field mice for her entire life 🤣
Part of me was going at some point I'm sure those bounties exceed a whole villages annual small income ...
It's impressive she's able to convert that much so quickly being so young.
She got mad skills she do.
Ciel has a LOT of work ahead of him... he's gonna have to catch LOTS of mice to keep Ivy supplied with mouse-mathics supplies. i don't want to imagine what that mouse-mathics abacus would look like. ;>
Farewell you wonderful isekai of the season 👋
Review:
Saijaku Tamer wa Gomi Hiroi no Tabi wo Hajimemashita.(The Weakest Tamer Began a Journey to Pick Up Trash.)
Source: WN/LN.
Genres: Adventure, fantasy, (iseaki).
Studio: Studio Massket.
(Mainly known as a studio that is done mostly music videos of anime and known for "Let You Down" from Cyberpunk: Edgerunners that is also the song for the ED.)
Personal thoughts:
First note this was one of the best isekai's this season (imo) with the animation, art styles, most colorful, well balance cgi being fire 🔥🔥 all the way through. Also Studio Massket did pretty well with this series being they're first actual anime.
Also glad we got a anime that shows not a classic character getting isekai'ed with OP abelites with easy to predict story.
This slow build up story was a good feels kicker and handled pretty well even tough I think the prologue with flashback backstory should have been in the first few episodes but it was done well for anime for the injured scenes.
Anyways I love it that we get Ivy being just the type of characters that has the slow buildup of character through self growth through her journey and meeting strong allies over time that she helps save along the way (Btw love Sora since he's so adorable >//< + Plus Ciel is best protector) . And with the realism that in every situation everyone questions her about her age being with adult smarts unlikely thinking for a child her age unlike comparing it to Fluffy Paradise for the obvious reasons.
As the direction that the directors made was very well done so kusos to Yamauchi Shigeyasu and the others of the staff for this wonder. ^^
As for isekai this season this my number #1 and gets a 9/10
Also I've never skip the OP on this series and most of the time the ED cause they are so good.
Ivy must be protected, she's too precious.
Best isekai of this season for sure.
Definitely.
I have my review up in my edited comment.
I had to remake a review since I lost my first one with better detail due to a copy and paste error T^T
Did you faced "Enternal error"? I faced enternal error while replying Saint Evo's comment.
Nah I had pre-prepared and was about to copy and paste when I must of accidently press wrong and my my previous copy & paste took over deleting my comment and a damn name pop up T^T
Adding Sora to the best slime list lol
Sora just so adorable >//<
U just now added Sora, tsk tsk tsk
imagine ivy power up taming isekai monsters like rimuru or kumoko lol
aslong as ivy stays away from azusa she and her beloved Sora will be a okay^^
Ivy, I think it’s time to find a different unit for counting. You’re going to fry your brain at this rate, lol…
